Professional Coaching I
Our Professional Coaching I is the most optimal form of coaching assistance available anywhere to endurance athletes! It allows you to have two passionate,
experienced professional coaches creating customized training plans for you and assisting you each step of the way on the journey to your goals. This plan is tailored for athletes who want tremendous amounts of individual attention in reaching their personal performance goals. Jason and Will will custom design your day-to-day training around your personal needs and will take on the role of mentor, assisting you with every factor that affects your performance. You will not find more personalized endurance sports coaching than our Professional Coaching I!
You'll start with our thorough Start-Up Process. You will complete a detailed questionnaire of your goals, your current abilities, and your lifestyle. You will also perform a series of field tests to help us assess your current abilities and to use for future assessment of your progress. In addition, you will make a video of yourself performing your sport or sports disciplines
so that we can assess your current level of movement efficiency through video analysis. After you have completed and returned your Start-Up Packet to us, we will review
it and then set up a time to discuss it with you so that we can gain a clear picture of how we can best help you work towards your personal goals.
Next, we'll create your initial training plans. We'll start by constructing a
Training Outline for you. Your Training Outline is a scientifically-designed roadmap that plans your training for the upcoming year or similar period of time. This roadmap is based around your planned races and annual goals and sets the tone for your weekly and day-to-day training. Based on the concept of periodization, the programmed application of work and rest, we design a customized plan for volume, intensity, frequency, duration, and form of your training for various parts of the year.
From your Training Outline, we'll generate for you, fully customized, fully detailed daily training plans in 2-week blocks. Each one of your 2-Week Training Plans will detail every aspect of your training (sport specific workouts, cross training workouts, and strength/power training workouts) as well as provide personalized guidance with regards to nutrition, sports nutrition, recovery, mental skills training, equipment, and race strategy. Each and every one of your workouts including sport specific training, cross training, and strength/power training is spelled out to the last detail including its purpose and the precise details for executing the workout.
Your endurance workouts will include details for the duration of the workout,
the intensity of workout (using power, heart rate, pace, and/or perceived
exertion as is best for you), the terrain to perform the workout over, as well
as sport specific drills to include in the workout. Your strength/power training
workouts will include pictures and descriptions of each exercise to perform and information on the right sets, reps, motion speed, external
resistance, and rest intervals for you.
You will complete a Weekly Report Form for us each week. In your Weekly Report Form you will document for us how your week of training went and you will provide us information for us on several physiological variables so that we can accurately monitor your training response.
This serves as a way for you to communicate to us how you are responding to your training.
As helpful, we will provide feedback to you upon our review of your form. You will also have a scheduled phone consultation with us every two weeks. We do these in the beginning of your second week of each of your 2-Week Training Plans. This 30-minute time slot becomes your time slot and is reserved for you talking with either Jason or Will. We use these calls to further understand your training response and answer any and all questions that you have for us. Based on your response to your training, we then create for you your next 2-Week Training Plan, and continue in this fashion.
Professional Coaching I allows us to closely monitor your progress and for you to have UNLIMITED contact with us. In addition to your scheduled completion of your Weekly Report Form,
our review of it, and your scheduled phone consultation with us, we invite UNLIMITED contact via phone and email as necessary and helpful. This allows you to ask us ANY questions that you have at ANY time. It also allows us to very closely monitor your physical and mental response to training so that we can continually make adjustments to your training plan (daily if necessary). This helps to eliminate plateaus, allowing continual progress to occur, thus ensuring you that you stay on the sharpest improvement curve to your goals. We are here to answer all your questions about nutrition, sports nutrition, recovery, mental skills training, equipment, race strategy, training ideas, or ANYTHING that is important to you in your process of working towards your goals. It also means that we can take an active part in the motivation and emotional support that are part of the process of chasing lofty goals. We are here to help you each step of the way!
With Professional Coaching I, either Jason or Will assumes the role of primary
coach for each athlete with whom we work. Your primary coach is the one with whom you will have the most direct contact and who will conduct your scheduled phone consultations, review your Weekly Report Form, and deliver your 2-Week Training Plans. Behind the scenes,
we work together, giving you the power of two passionate, experienced coaches working together to create the ultimate conditioning approach for your personal agenda. This coaching approach creates an incredibly well thought out conditioning approach for you in addition to a very deep pool of knowledge and wisdom from which you can draw upon.
All Professional Coaching I athletes are also invited to each of our four
Technique-Focused Group Workouts held throughout the year. These are small group
workouts open only to athletes we are coaching (to keep the group small) where
will devote the whole time to coaching you on your technique. These workouts
include work on swimming (including specific open-water-swimming techniques),
cycling, mountain biking, and running. For details on and our current schedule
of Technique-Focused Group Workouts, please ask when you inquire about
coaching.
We limit this form of coaching to allow us to deliver the most personal assistance to each athlete
we coach. Contact us for availability.
The cost for Professional Coaching I is $250 per month, with a fee of $325 for the first month.
Professional Coaching II
Our Professional Coaching II is a more affordable version of our ongoing coaching service. Professional Coaching II works EXACTLY the same as Professional Coaching I, except we create your training for you in 4-Week Training Plans and we do not have a scheduled phone consultation. ALL other aspects of Professional Coaching II are the same as Professional Coaching
I, as described above.
All Professional Coaching II athletes are also invited to each of our four
Technique-Focused Group Workouts held throughout the year. These are small group
workouts open only to athletes we are coaching (to keep the group small) where
will devote the whole time to coaching you on your technique. These workouts
include work on swimming (including specific open-water-swimming techniques),
cycling, mountain biking, and running. For details on and our current schedule
